Our little guy has been home for almost 24 hours....and he's been eating and sleeping for most of that time. He wasn't too keen on sleeping in the bedside crib last night so he ended up alternating between sleeping in Mom and Dad's arms for the better part of the night....but more Mom's than Dad's. That meant we got most of our sleep siting in the chair in Ethan's room.
Both Grandma(Krekorian) and Nana(Finger) have been a huge help during this whole process of getting accustomed to taking care of our little man and we don't know what we would have done without them. Uncle Kevin and Aunt Joanne visited Ethan in the hospital as did his cousins, Danny & Maggie.....they seem like perfect future babysitters. Papa also made a visit although his greatest contribution has been substituting for me at PSM which has been an enormous help. My students will have a better understanding of segments in circles(geometry) & solving quadratic equations (algebra 1) than they have had in any other part of the course!
Grandpa and Auntie Li have been keeping constant contact wanting to know how things are going with Ethan and his recovering mother, which we love. Grandpa's still recovering from triple bypass surgery but Auntie Li will be coming out to Chicago on Monday....we're so excited!
I'm sure we'll be contributing to this blog regularly so stay tuned......

greg and missy- we are so excited that you set this blog up. Even thou we are only in the burbs it is hard to make it down to see you on a regular basis. Ethan is absolutely beautiful!! We are all thinking of you!

You are so lucky to have so many family members assist during this new chapter. I would love to have been in that class at PSM when the students thought they had just your normal sub teacher. No so fast!

ReplyDeleteMy students really liked my dad. You might be surprised to hear that one comment I frequently hear from former students of my father is how funny he is. Both of my parents always had solid control of their classrooms, did a hall of fame job teaching the material, and keeping the kids engaged....often using humor.
